The C.X.R. Cameras were manufactured for Jonathan Fallowfield, London photo house in circa 1910. An all around general camera that accommodated all types of work including portraits in the studio, telephoto work, landscape work, groups, architecture, copying, and also sold for export. The camera was made of the finest seasoned mahogany, fitted with the best square leather bellows, and highly polished brass hardware. It was also available in brass-bound for extreme climates. The rack and pinion adjustment operated the back of the camera for exposure focus in a ground glass screen. The back provided double swing back, the front had rising, falling and cross movement. Made in six studio sizes. The 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch sold for £8 0 0, 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 sold for £10 10 0, 10 x 8 sold for £12 0 0, 15 x 12 sold for £18 0 0, and 18 x 16 sold for £26 0 0.
