The Colonial Camera was offered by Jonathan Fallowfield in circa 1898. A half plate or whole plate camera featuring a rapid rectilinear lens with iris diaphragm and a Thornton-Pickard time and instantaneous shutter, with speeds from 1/15 to 1/90 of a second. The baseboard of the camera is cut out to allow it to close without detaching the lens or shutter. Features flexible joints, ivory numbers and side clips, rack and pinion focusing, and rear ground glass screen. Priced at £4 4s for the half plate and £6 6s for the whole plate.
