  Criterion Camera

The Criterion Camera was manufactured by The Birmingham Photographic Company and sold by Jonathan Fallowfield in circa 1897. Designed as a Pocket camera for Plates or Films. It was capable of producing exposures 2 1/8 x 1 5/8 inch in size or 1/16 plate size. This small camera measures 3 3/4 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches and weighs 4 ounces. It features two finders of special construction, a ground glass screen showing full picture size, a time and instantaneous shutter of 1/10 of a second with good quality lens, and aluminum fittings. Original price including six slides was 21 shillings.
