The Original Primus Camera was manufactured by Jonathan Fallowfield from at least 1898 to 1910. Constructed of solid Mahogany, highly polished with a leather bellows. Features rear focus adjustment by rack and pinion gearing. Fitted with a Fallowfield Rapid Doublet lens with iris diaphragm. Made in every conceivable plate size, including quarter plate 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch, 5 x 4 inch, 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 x 5 inch, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 whole plate size, 8 x 5 inch, 10 x 8, 12 x 10, 15 x 12, 18 x 16, 20 x 16, 22 x 18, and 24 x 20 inches half-plate, whole plate, 8 x 10 inch and 12 x 10 inch size.
