The Taquta Ferrotype Camera was introduced by Jonathan Fallowfield in circa 1905. Advertised with the slogan, You press the button and Taquta does the rest. The Taquta was constructed entirely of metal. It was capable of carrying 45 ferrotype plates in the magazine which could be loaded in daylight. The ferrotype plates are one inch circles and each plate is in a mount of thin bright metal. It took approximately two minutes to capture an exposure and develop the image. It was fitted with a fixed focus rapid achromatic lens working at F4.5. The shutter was placed behind the lens and the camera has a full size focusing screen. The camera complete with developing tank and forty five plates, originally costs £1 1s 0d.
