The Zoka Hand Camera was introduced by Jonathan Fallowfield in circa 1894. A very popular camera of the period, mainly designed for beginners and youth. It was a very inexpensive magazine camera that only sold for 12s 6d. It was fitted with an fixed focus achromatic lens. The plates were held in place by a spring and once exposed would drop down due to the lower part of the camera due to movement of pulling a knob, which at the same time a new plate is readied for exposure.
