The Spartus Co-Flash Camera was manufactured by the Herold product company in circa 1957. Its design extended from the earlier Press camera featuring a novel built-in flash reflector. It was made of black plastic Bakelite with a brushed chrome faceplate. This camera was capable of capturing twelve jumbo 3 1/2 x 5 inch exposures on standard no. 127 roll film. It featured a fixed focus lens with an aperture setting for color or black and white photos, a built-in optical eye-level target-type view finder, an instantaneous shutter, and an automatic double exposure prevention device. The outfit included the camera with carry cord attached, gadget bag carry case, built-in flash unit, two batteries, four M-2 flash bulbs, one roll No. 127 film, free film certificate and an instruction book. The Spartus Co-Flash Out fit retailed for $12.95 and only $9.95 without the gadget bag.
