The Imperial Satellite 127 Camera was manufactured by the Herbert George Company of Chicago Illinois in circa late 1950s. This snap shot camera was constructed of plastic with space age decorated metal plate on the front of the camera. It was the same camera used for the Official Camera Boy & Girl Scouts of America 127 Camera design. It featured a built-in eye-level view finder, a fixed focus lens, a simple instantaneous shutter, two aperature settings to accomodate color or black and white film, and a detachable synchronized flash. It was capable of capturing twelve exposures, 2 x 2 inch on number 127 roll film. The flash unit took M2 flash bulbs. Priced at $4.97 for a complete outfit, including flash unit, two batteries, one roll of film and four flash bulbs.
