The Al-Vista Model 4C was manufactured by the Multiscope & Film Co. of Burlington Wisconsin in circa 1901. This camera had a paent attachment to allow for different length of negatives. It was also capable of capturing 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on glass plates. This camera was similar to the Al-Vista No. 5C except that it used standard 4-inch daylight loading film cartridges. The 5C used 5-inch daylight loading film cartridges. The Al-Vista Model 4C featured a brilliant revolving view-finder, a film indicator showing when enough film is wound into position, a universal tripod socket, an extra rapid rectilinear lens, heavy nickel plated metal parts, covered in black morocco leather. The camera was originally priced at $40.00 and the carrying case was an extra $2.50.
