The Al-Vista Model 5F was manufactured by the Multiscope & Film Co. of Burlington Wisconsin from approximately 1901 to 1908. This camera was able to be configured for snap shots on glass plates or panoramic views on roll-film cartridges. The front assemble was interchangeable for either a traditional bellows and lens or it could be fitted with the Al-Vista revolving panoramic lens front assembly. The camera featured an attachment for taking negatives of different lengths with the same camera including, 5 x 4, 5 x 6, 5 x 8, 5 x 10, and 5 x 12 inches. It was similar to the model 7F. The Al-Vista Model 5F was constructed of a wood body covered in black morocco leather and the metal parts were heavy nickel plated. Originally priced in 1908 at $45.00 for the camera using 5-inch film and 4 x5 plates with an extra rapid rectilinear lens and shutter and $80.00 for a camera fitted with Burlington Anastigmat lens f6.8, with plate attachment, rectilinear lens and shutter.
