The Major Camera was manufactured by the National Instrument Corporation in circa 1947. Designed as a simple box camera constructed of pressed aluminum. It was similar to the Colonel. It was capable of capturing 6 x 6 cm exposures on standard no. 620 roll-film. It featured a 85mm fixed-focus meniscus lens, a time and instantaneous shutter, and a retractable sports type direct wire frame finder. It was made in serveral colors and finishes including yellow, green black and red.
