  Vokar I camera

The Vokar I camera was manufactured by the Vokar Corporation in circa 1946. It was designed by Richard H. Bills under the direction of the ousted president of the Argus camera company, Charles Vershoor, who purchased the small camera company. The Vikar I was a well made 35mm double frame range finder camera. The camera was constructed of all non-corrosive metal. It featured a combined range and view finder coupled to the lens, an automatic shutter - cocking eliminating double exposures that provided a speed range from 1/300th to 1 second, time and bulb. It was fitted with a Anastigmat f2.8 lens, coated and corrected for color. The Vokar I was originally priced at $76.70.
