The No. 3 Tella box camera was manufactured by the Tella Camera Co. of London in circa 1899. The Tella camera was an automatic changing, flat film camera, capable of capturing 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 sized images. Films were inserted in the chamber at the back of the camera in packets of 25, with the chamber capable of holding 50. There was a small celluloid separator between each film to enable separate during the changing. The No. 3 Tella featured an adjustable focus 5-1/2 inch Cooke Anastigmat F6.5 lens. An accurate scales provides focusing as close as two yards. The shutter provided speeds from 1/2 to 1/100th of a second and time exposures, with a built-in exposure meter. The camera measures 8 x 6 x 3 3/4 inches and weighed 3 pounds, 6 ounces when loaded with 50 films. The No. 3 Tella box camera was priced at £14 14s.
