  Tella Reflex Camera


The Tella Reflex Camera was manufactured by the Tella Camera Co. of London in circa 1908. Designed to be a compact camera, with the quarter-plate measuring only 6 x 5 x 5 1/2 inches when closed and weighed 2 1/2 pounds. It was also made in half-plate size. It was fitted with a Ross Homocentric lens and a Tella designed focal plane shutter capable of providing speeds from 1/5 to 1/1000 of a second. The front can extend 10 1/5 inches under normal conditions and 12 inches can be obtained with certain additional manipulations. The quarter-plate Tella Reflex Camera was priced at £15 and the half-plate at £20. Additional lenses were available.
