  Ansco Anscoflex II

The Ansco Anscoflex II camera was manufactured by Ansco in circa 1954. This camera was based on the original Anscoflex but with a built-in yellow filter, a built-in close up lens and front controls. Like the original it maintained the same Ultra-modern look designed by Raymond Loewy. The Anscoflex II was an easy to use reflex type or pseudo twin lens reflex camera capable of capturing twelve 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch exposures on standard 620 roll film. The camera was constructed of metal with grey and silver finish. It was fitted with a fixed focus two element f11 lens mounted in a reliable instantaneous shutter. Features included a double exposure prevention, synchronized flash, self erecting finder hood, large reflex type viewfinder, and convenient ratchet-wind film knob. The Ansco Anscoflex camera was priced around $18.95. The flash unit sold for $4.95.
