The Spartus 35F 400 camera was manufactured by Herold Mfg. Co. of Chicago in circa 1950. It was a 35mm SLR camera capable of taking twenty or thirty-six shots. The camera was constructed of metal with the exposed metal parts having a satin chromium finish, the body covered in a black covering and a metal face-plate displaying the name. It was fitted with a f6.3 Archromat color-corrected lens and an instantaneous shutter plus time. The camera originally retailed for $15.95.
