The Press Graflex Camera was manufactured by the Folmer & Schwing division of the Eastman Kodak Company from approximately 1907 to 1925. Designed specifically for the work associated with daily news papers and illustrated magazines. It was robustly constructed to ensure alignment to adjustments and withstand day to day use.
The focusing hood automatically comes into position when the release catch is pressed and the lens cover automatically opens when the when the front is racked out to accomodate quick set up. The shutter curtain is quickly wound by one complete turn. Like other Graflex cameras, this camera is supplied with the Graflex focal plane shutter capable of speeds from time to 1/1000 of a second. Numerous lens can be employed. The Basic model was provided with a Zeiss Kodak anastigmat f6.3. This camera measures 11 x 8 3/8 x 9 3/4 inches when closed and weighs 11.5 Lbs. The camera and Zeiss-Kodak lens was priced at $144.50 in 1914.
