The Speed Graphic Camera was manufactured by the Folmer & Schwing division of the Eastman Kodak company from approximately 1912 to 1927. Designed to meet the desire of a fast focal plane shutter from time to 1/1000 of a second in a compact folding camera. The front was designed to be large enough to accommodate a high speed anastigmat lens and is attached with a full piano hinge for maximum rigidity. Finished with the best morocco leather covering and black leather bellows. All exposed wood parts are ebonized and all metal work is oxidized. Additional features include rack and pinion focusing, Direct view finder, removable lens board , rising & falling front, and two tripod sockets. The Speed Graphic Camera was available in various sizes including a 4 x 5, 3 1/4 x 5 1/2, and a 5 x 7 inch. Prices ranged from $35.00 to $105.00 depending on lens selection.
