The Super Foto Camera was sold by the Consolidated Industries company (James Marlyn co.) of Chicago Illinois, in circa 1940. It was a simple candid type camera constructed of black Bakelite, with a sleek streamlined art deco styling. It was fitted with a simple meniscus lens and instantaneous shutter. This camera captured 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 inch sized exposures on number 127 roll film. This camera housed an interchangeable decorative faceplate like many of the 1940 Chicago style cameras made in the 40's, labeled from many different manufacturers. This camera was unique in its styling however common in its body mold to the Candex by the General Products Company, the Clix De Luxe and Capitol 127 by Metropolitan to name a few.
