The Official Camera Girl Scouts of America 127 Camera was manufactured by the Herbert George Company of Chicago Illinois in circa late 1950s. This snap shot camera was constructed of plastic with the official Girl Scout logo located on the front of the camera. It was a design variation of the Mark 27 camera lacking the integrated flash unit, but the same camera as the Imperial Satellite 127 and the same as the Boy Scouts of America 127. It featured a built-in eye-level view finder, a fixed focus lens, a simple instantaneous shutter, two aperture settings to accommodate color or black and white film, and a detachable synchronized flash. As the name implies, it was capable of capturing exposures on number 127 roll film.
