The camera featured a fast focal plane shutter providing of exposures speeds from 1 to 1/1000 of a second. the image was viewed in the collapsible hood by a hinged internal mirror which reflects the full sized image on to the ground glass up to the instant of exposure so that the image can be proper framed and focused. There is also a ground glass in the rear of the camera for focusing in the usual way when the camera is on a tripod.
